Teenager says Anning's anti-Muslim stance motivated him.
The seventeen-year-old boy who had gained worldwide recognation after smashing an egg on Australian Senator Fraser Anning has a spoken out for the first time since the incident Will Connolly or egg boy as he is now popularly known spoke to an Australian Tv news channel and said that his intention were not politically motivated.
“The protest was raised much more than his purpose. So I'm embarrassed. Because I took the attention from the real victims. We must focus on their suffering.
After that tragedy in Christchurch I thought the world should be supporting all those victims with giving them love and passion and the senator releases statement which was pretty much a divisive hate speech blaming the victims for the attack and I was just flat-out disgusted no many people know this but actually went in there to listen to him for an hour safe had changed my mind as you know I’m a pretty forgiving person and in my mind you know I wanted to forgive him but then he started saying some more things which I’m not going to quote. You can watch the live stream if you want to hear that which empowered me to thank him”
Will also said that he did not expect the support he received on
Social media after he was filmed breaking an egg on the Senators head. The incident a divided social media was many saying that any form of violence is not acceptable however most admired the teenager for his courage and some even went as far as setting up a social media page for Will to fund his legal expenses.
