Yavuz Sultan Selim, like many of Ottoman Sultans, kept secret about the preparations for the expeditions  on behalf of  the state’s safety. Once, one of his viziers insisted on the country where the expedition to be held, Yavuz asked him:

- “Do you know how to keep secrets?” 

Vizier, hoping that Yavuz will reply the question:

-“Yes, sir, I know it” Then  Sultan Yavuz answered back quickly:

-“So am I.”
